Sarah Gilchrist MSc., DProf. has over 20 years’ experience working in the high performance sport industry. Having been at the heart of the UK high performance sport system since 1999, she has delivered roles as a Technical Lead at the English Institute of Sport, was senior physiologist with British Rowing (2007-2016) and GB Badminton (in the lead up to Athens 2004 Olympics). Having worked with a variety of sports from team, racket and endurance, she has excellent first-hand experience of supporting athletes from a range of different sports. She has a professional doctorate in recovery, (specifically, sleep and downtime), and is a member of the British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (BASES), having been High Performance Sport Accredited since 2012. She sits on the BASES Accreditation Committee, and is a laboratory accreditation reviewer (BASES Laboratory Accreditation). She is an Advisory Board member to Harper Performance CIC - an SEUK certified non-profit social enterprise providing performance-support services and consultancy to aspirational athletes, teams and sports organisations across the world and is also a National Trainer for UK Anti Doping. Sarah is available for consultations around practices for optimising training and performance e.g. sleep and recovery and overall training programme design.
